My cycle is like clork work and I am still not pregnant. Why??

We have been trying to get pregnant for a year now (I am 31 years old, my husband is 28) and I feel hopeless. My cycle is like clockwork! I just don't get it! I have done everything from basal body temp. to ovulation kits and nothing seems to help. Anyone have any uplifting advice???
