Cramping in early pregnancy, almost 4 weeks, is this normal?

Hi, I'm almost 4 weeks pregnant, I did an 'early test' yesterday which was positive and since yesterday afternoon I've been feeling what I can only describe as twinges on the right of my lower abdomen, is this normal? My period is due on Wednesday and I'm worried something is wrong. Has anyone got any advice? Thanks! :o)
