I just purchased a 3GB laptop with an AMD Athlon II X2 Dual Core Processor, is that a good processor?

It the AMD current entry level processor, the AMD Athlon II X2 Dual Core is equal to the Intel Pentium-dual core, these processor is not designed for gaming or other heavy jobs, they are mostly likely to be in basic PC for only personal use. The processor is like Intel Pentium 4, it increased one core to make it a dual core, means it slowest dual core processor, so it not a good processor for games and other heavy jobs, other basic stuffs is good with it.
